Dr. Rafael Jimenez

Dr. Jimenez was born in New York, New York and at a very young age his family moved back to Puerto Rico where he completed his studies, including graduate school in Chemistry at University of Puerto Rico and medical school at Universidad Central Del Caribe. Dr. Jimenez then moved to Michigan, where he completed his Internal Medicine, residency program and Cardiology fellowship at Providence Hospital and Medical Center in Southfield Michigan. He then moved to Florida in 1991 where he started his Cardiology practice. Dr. Jimenez has been a member of various professional organizations such as American College of Cardiology and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Jiménez has been involved in leadership at both Florida Hospital Kissimmee, now AdventHealth, and Osceola Regional Medical Center now HCA Florida Osceola Hospital. He is currently serving as Chief of Staff for Osceola for the third time and has served in many capacities through the last 30 years. Dr. Jimenez’s special interests include nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He has been married to his wife Aida for 34 years, is a father to Isabel and Andy and a grandfather to Jolene. Dr. Jimenez is a community leader and an experienced clinician in the field of Cardiology.
