Dr. Rafael Jimenez was born in New York City in 1957 and later that year moved to Puerto Rico where he was raised. He then went to Universidad Central del Caribe in Puerto Rico where he earned his Medical Doctor degree. After graduation, Dr. Jimenez travelled to Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan where he did his residency training in Internal Medicine and followed with a fellowship in Cardiology. He established his practice in Kissimmee in 1991 and has been dedicated to his practice and patients as well as the community ever since.

Dr. Jimenez has been a leader in the community. He has served in several committees at Osceola Regional Medical Center, Florida Hospital Kissimmee and St. Cloud Hospital, has been elected as Chief of Staff at both Osceola Regional Medical Center and Florida Hospital Kissimmee, and most recently served as Cardiology Department Chair at Osceola Regional Medical Center.
